Edcuational qualification etc. shall be as per Govt. OM No. AHE.45/2019/2 dt. 25/02/2019 as noted
below :
1. A Master’s Degree with atleast 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where grading
system is followed) from a recognised university.
2. A Ph.D Degree.
3. Professor/ Associate Professor with a total service experience of atleast 15 (fifteen) years of
teaching/Research in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education.
4. A minumum of 10 Reseach Publications in Peer reviewed or UGC listed journals.
5. A minimum of 110 Research score as per Appendix II at table 2 of UGC regulations, 2018.
6. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at Master Degree level for SC/ST/Diferently able candidates.
The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale) and relaxation of 5% to the category mentioned above are permissible only based on qualifying marks without any grace marks.
7. A relaxation of 5% be provided to the Ph.D Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya , leading institution of higher education was established in 1991 at the initiative of the people of greater Narangi area.
The college located at the southeastern part of Guwahati city has come a long way in spreading higher education covering ethnic and linguistic groups.
The college initially started its classes in the evening shift at Narangi High School on September 2, 1991. However, within few months, the college was shifted to its own permanent site in a beautiful spacious compound surrounded by green hillocks. The college has at present, required number of class rooms, library cum reading room, teacher’s common room, girls’ common room,boys’ common room, departmental rooms and union office room. With the completion of a new four storied building the college has now been fully self sufficient in accommodation.
