About Assam Agriculture Department

Assam's economy is mostly based on agriculture, and the state's Agriculture Department is working to practise a sustainable, cost-effective, and scientifically advanced kind of agriculture through a variety of policies and projects. The state's Agriculture Department was established in April of 1882. However, three linked Departments of Agriculture, Cooperation, and Industries were merged in 1923. Currently, the Department of Agriculture is motivated by a desire to execute policies and programmes targeted at attaining rapid agricultural expansion while making the best use of the state's resources. Its goal is to teach farmers how to practise sustainable and commercial agriculture using scientific approaches.

Directorate of Agriculture, Assam has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 103 Programme Officer, Accounts Officer and Media Expert vacancy.

Educational Qualification & Experience	The requisite qualification of the Programme Officer must be M.Sc (Agriculture) from a recognised institute having minimum 3(three) years of relevant experience.	The requisite qualification of the Accounts Officer must be Masters in Commerce from recognised institute having minimum 3 (three) years of relevant experience.	The qualification of the Media Expert must be Post Graduate in Mass Communication from a recognised institute with candidates having minimum 3 (three) years of relevant experience.
Computer Skills	The Programme Officer must have expertise in using Internet based applications, working with advanced word processing/spreadsheet including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, related applications and software & hardware computer systems.	The Accounts Officer must have expertise in using Internet based applications, working with advanced word processing/spreadsheet including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, related applications and software & hardware of computer systems. Candidates may be put through separate computer test to assess their proficiency in Tally Accounting System.	The Media Expert must have expertise in using Internet based applications, working with advanced word processing/spreadsheet including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, related applications and software & hardware computer systems.
Desirable Skills	Experience of working in complex, multi stakeholder, fast moving environment and ability to work under pressure, strict deadlines and multitasking. Good social, analytical and planning skills; the candidate must show initiative, synthesis, organization and personal dynamism, be self-motivated and should possess ability to work independently as well as in teams. Other Criteria of Agriculture Recruitment

Domicile: Candidate must be an Indian citizen and ordinarily resident of Assam.

Language: Fluency in English and Assamese is essential.

Selection Process of Agriculture Recruitment

These positions shall be filled purely on temporary basis through WALK –IN-INTERVIEW.
Questions would be based on General Awareness, General Knowledge and relevant subject of the position.
