North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), established in 1952, has successfully carved its niche in the arena of higher education in Assam. Committed to raising standards of higher education, the college intends to equip the learners with sound theoretical knowledge, adequate practical exposure and develop in them the capacity to think. Probably it is the recognition of such efforts that the college was awarded the prestigious 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The founders aspired to enhance the socio-cultural development of various ethnic groups, create scientific temperament, enhance employability of students and promote gender equality.
