North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) is a public financial institution with an authorized capital of Rs.500 crore and an outcome of a national and Prime Ministerial initiative aimed at the rapid development of the North-Eastern region of India. The Corporation, incorporated in August 1995, under the Companies Act, 1956, is promoted by all India Financial Institutions, Insurance companies, Administrator of Specified Undertaking of Unit Trust of India and SBI. NEDFi provides credit and support facilities to industry, infrastructure and agriculture of the North-Eastern region comprising of eight states including Sikkim.
