To be suitable for the advertised post of Driver in APSC, candidate should have passed H.S.L.C examination or equivalent from a recognized Board/Council of Government of Assam. Candidate should possess a valid Driving License (LMV). Intending candidates must have registration in Employment Exchange in the State.
Candidates having essential qualification are advised to visit and apply through APSC's website www.apsc.nic.in . He/she should submit their application form DR (New form) and the name of the post applied for should be superscribed in "bold letters" in the Envelope containing the application form.

Candidates shall have to appear for the following examination for selection:.
In the first phase I, candidates are advised to appear for Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals to be conducted at Guwahati on the date to be notified later on. The Driving Knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals will be of 100 marks.
In Phase- II, four candidates will be short listed on the basis of the marks acquired in the Written Test on Driving knowledge on Traffic Rules & Traffic Signals. Those candidates who are shortlisted shall have to appear along with all original requisite documents in the Driving Skill Test to be held at Guwahati to be notified later on. It is to be noted that the Driving Skill Test will be of 100 marks
