About Swachh Bharat Mission Urban Assam:

The Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) was launched by Government of India on 2nd October 2014. The Mission is implemented by the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) and covers all statutory cities and towns and achieves the objective of providing sanitation and household toilet facilities across India, and drive to 100% Open Defecation Free households by 2nd October, 2019.

Assam is on the verge of a developing state but there is lack of adequate fund for implementing different components of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). A significant population of Assam still does not have access to sanitary latrine system causing major environmental and health risk. The incidences of water and sanitation related diseases like diarrhoea, malaria etc. is common in all the areas where insanitary/open defecation is still prevalent. Implementation of proper infrastructure and maintenance of these sanitation facilities through intensive demand creation is critical to address the existing sanitation and hygiene issues because of financial constraints.

Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for Project Coordinator and IEC Expert Vacancy:

Project Coordinator

Post Graduate degree (Minimum 2 years course duration) in any discipline from recognized university. Minimum 55% marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation.

1) Minimum 3 years experience in Government / Semi Govt. / Autonomous organizations / Private Company of repute.

2) Good Administrative & Communication Skills with working knowledge of MS Office (Particularly MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and MIS.

IEC Expert

Post Graduate degree (Minimum 2 years course duration) in Mass Communications/ Public Relations/ Journalism from recognized University. Minimum 55% marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation

1) Minimum 3 years experience in Government / Semi Govt. / Autonomous organizations / Private Company of repute.

2) Development of IEC strategy. Knowledge and experience of Government systems and procedures will be preferred.

3) Working Knowledge of MS Office with ability to prepare MS Excel Sheets and MS Power Point presentation, good operating skills in email, Photoshop, web surfing and social Media Site handling is mandatory.

4) Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in Govt. Mission/ reputed print/electronic media
