About Kamrup Judiciary:

The Court of the District & Sessions Judge, Kamrup, was established in the year 1920. The territorial jurisdiction of the court was extended up to erstwhile Nagaon District in the East and Dhubri District in the West. Mr. A.Merror Esquire, ICS, was the first District & Sessions Judge, Assam valley. After independence, Mr. I.Rashul became the first District & Sessions Judge, Kamrup. Presently, the territorial jurisdiction of the District is extended over Greater Guwahati only. Altogether, the establishment of the District Judge & the Chief Judicial Magistrate comprise of both Civil/Criminal Courts manned by Judicial Officers of various grades. The other courts and offices present in the District & Sessions Judge Court Complex.

How To Apply Kamrup Judiciary Job Openings

1.  Candidates can send their applications in Standard Form as published in Assam Gazette Part IX along with self attested copies of relevant testimonials of educational qualification, age, caste etc.
2. 3(Three) copies of recent passport size coloured photographs along with one self addressed envelope of size 5 cm x 11 cm shall be enclosed with the application.
3. The persons engaged in any job should submit application through proper channel by enclosing N.O.C. from the present employer.
4. Duly filled up application along with the self signed testimonials should reach Office of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup(Metro), Guwahati or be put in drop box kept in the office premises on or before 18-02-2022 by 5:00 PM.
5. The application should be addressed to the "Chief Judicial Magistrate. Kamrup (Metro),Guwahati" and the envelope containing the application form and other documents should be superscribed as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………….". It is made clear that the candidate must clearly specify in his/her application for which of the post he/she is submitting candidature.
