About Directorate of Dairy Development - Directorate for Dairy Development had no separate Directorate untill February 1982. Their activities were carried out by the Directorate of Animal Husbandary & Veterinary Department, Assam. However, considering the importance of all the developmental activities of Dairy in the state, the Government decided to create a new, separate Directorate. In January 1982, Directorate of Dairy Development came under the administrative control of Animal Husbandary & Veterinary Department, Assam. And in 1990, a separate Directorate of Dairy Development had been created. Subsequently, the Government notified it as a permanent department in 2004.

Master's degree in Dairy Technology/ Food Technology/ Veterinary Science or M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Microbiology or Food Science from a recognized University At least 2(two) years hands on experience on microbial techniques and chemical analysis of milk & milk products, food and beverages Must have expertise in using Internet based applications, working with advanced word processing/ spreadsheet including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, related applications and software & hardware computer systems. Fluency in Assamese, English and Hindi languages is essential. Experience of working in complex, multi-stakeholder, fast-moving environment and ability to work under pressure, strict deadlines and multi-tasking Good social, analytical, and planning skills; the candidate must show initiative, synthesis, organization and personal dynamism, be self-motivated, and should possess the ability to work independently as well as in teams. |
