Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled "Digital Dictionary for Sabar Speech Community (2022-2025)" in the Linguistic Research Unit. Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. 25000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month with no other allowances altogether.
Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 May 2024 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women/ differently abled candidates altogether.
Age relaxation may also be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
Walk-in Date: 30-05-2024
(a) First Class or equivalent CGPA in Master's degree in Linguistics from any recognised University or Institute.
(b) Experience in linguistic field surveys, feed-based data elicitation, data processing and data curation.
(c) Working knowledge in dictionary compilation with dictionary-making software and also NLP Toolkits.
Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview will be held on 30 May 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata
Candidates should carry his/her current signed Curriculum Vitae addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Social Sciences Division of the Institute, which is required to include (a) Name (In block letters), (b) Permanent/Present Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parent's/Spouse's Name, (1) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class), (h) Experience (if any), (i) Aadhaar Card/ Voter Card/ Pan Card, (j) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status with self-attested copies of all documents/testimonials on the day of interview. The original documents should be brought for verification purpose.
