Age Limit: The age limit for the Assistant Professor is 38 years as on January 1, 2024 with relaxation of 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Application Fee: Rs 1500.00 (Rupees One thousand five hundred) only

Qualification for Assistant Professor Job Vacancy at Lala Rural College Recruitment 2024

The candidates applying for post of Assistant Professor must have passed the UGC- conducted NET/SLET or SET Examination or an equivalent test approved altogether by the UGC.

They must have at least 55% marks at the Master Degree Level (5% less for candidates in the SC, ST or PwD category).

As per Govt. O.M. No. AHE.239/2021/68, dated 24/01/2022, candidates holding a Ph.D degree in compliance with the UGC (minimum standard & procedure for award of Ph.Ddegree) Regulation 2009, will also be exempted from the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/ SLET/SET.

The Selection will be made in accordance with the most recent guidelines released by the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Assam.

Eligibility requirements such as M.Phil, Ph.D, Seminar Papers and Publications for the post of Assistant Professor must be submitted on the date of interview.

In service candidates have to apply though proper channel with an NOC from the appointing authority/employer.

Applications without proper NOC will be cancelled.

The candidates must also have proficiency in Local Language.
