The applicant should have served at least 10 (ten) years of continuous service as Senior District Administrative Assistant (including 2 (two) years of service as Supervisory Assistant) in the concerned District Commissioner’s amalgamated establishment in the State of Assam (as per Gazette Notification vide No. GAG(B)306/2014/Pt-III/22, dated 15/10/2015) and should have the experience of working in different branches in general.

Deputy Commissioner of the Karbi Anglong District with its headquarters at Diphu is the head of the district and the maintenance of law and order in the district is his primary responsibility including administration of justice till separation of Judiciary w.e.f. 12.08.2017. He is the District Magistrate and had functioned as the District and Session Judge of the district up to 12.08.2017. He is also the District Election Officer. Further he has to function as Returning Officer for the conduct of Elections to 3-Autonomous District (ST) Parliamentary Constituency and 18-Howraghat(ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency & 19-Diphu(ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency.
