Candidate should have done Ph.D. in Agricultural or Life Sciences / Natural Sciences ( Chemistry / Biochemistry / Soil / Agronomy )
Minimum 16 years of R & D experience out of which atleast 7 years should also be in a senior supervisory position. Years of research experience ( Basic and /or Applied) will be computed from the beginning of the career as a Scientist also only. Experience in the plantation sector, development of technology and its commercialisation / use for the users/ beneficiaries and also having International Exposure will be an added advantage. The candidate should be able to provide leadership in R & D to a team of Scientists and researchers and should be able to attract good research projects/funds. The candidate should have good scientific publications in peer reviewed /high impact factor journals. The candidate should have good exposure of national and international trends in R&D, should have exposure of working in different National/International Institutes. The candidate should be able to create a conducive environment for a high class research & development.
