Assam Public Service Commission has released the District Museum Officer Grade-I (Gazetted) Recruitment 2026 Notification for 01 vacancy, inviting eligible candidates to Apply Online before the last date 21 January 2026.

M.A. in Museology from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates with an experience of at least 1 (one) month of working as an intern or in any curatorial capacity in any museum under the Central or any State Government. OR Post Graduate degree in History (Ancient)/Anthropology/Archaeology/Sanskrit from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates with a one-year PG Diploma in Museology from a recognized institute.

Essential qualifications: Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent resident of Assam.

Experience: Preference for at least 1 month experience as intern or curatorial capacity in museum (for M.A. Museology) or one-year PG Diploma in Museology (for other PG degrees).
