Qualification for Counsellor Job Vacancy at Assam Medical College Recruitment 2024

Master in Social work/Humanities/ Sociology/Psychology

Minimum of 3 years of experience in counseling.

Experience of working in the field of drug/addiction counseling is desirable.

Job Roles :

1. Undergoing training provided by the National centre/regional centres.

2. Providing assessment and diagnostic services.

3. Providing referral services to patients, including referral of health conditions, other social needs as
   well as referral to the higher centre for management of cases of substance use disorder.

4. Liaise with other departments of the hospital to enhance referrals to the DTC.

5. Conducting awareness activities in the community (to enhance help seeking)

6. Establishing linkage with the NGOs working in the community (to enhance help seeking)

7. Computer proficiency is a must. Should be able to use work on MS word, Excel, powerpoint or other
   standard business-required programs with relative ease.
