About CAFPD Manipur: The Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution, Manipur is responsible for procurement of Food grains and other essential commodities, building up e-maintenance of Stocks and their storage, supply and delivery to the distribution centers, Checking and regulation or Sale of POL Products, LPG and control of adulteration of products etc., protection of interest of consumers, the State Commission & District Fora for readdress of consumers disputes under the Consumer's Protection Act.

The Department of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution is responsible for implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS), that is to make available of foodgrains and other essential items including S.K. Oil and sugar to Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty Line (APL) families in Manipur.
