Graduate degree holder in Psychology/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Human Development or hold a diploma in Nursing with a minimum of3-5 years of experience in Counseling/ Educating under the National Health Programme
OR
Postgraduate degree either in Psychology/ Social Work/ Sociology/Anthropology/Human Development/ Nursing
# If candidate is a person living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV)
Graduate degree holder in Psychology/Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology/Human Development/Nursing with 1 year of experience in counseling/ educating under National Health Programmes.
Experience:- Experience working under the National AIDS and STD Control Programme (NACP) facility or community settings

Phase I of the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) in Meghalaya was taken up during the last quarter of 1993-94. Actual implementation of the Programme could begin only in March 1994. Earlier the Programme was implemented through a State AIDS Cell but due to various constraints in implementing the programme, a Society was constituted and registered on the 20th of August 1998. As such from the 1st of April 1999 the Phase II of the Programme (1999 – 2005) and Phase-III is being implemented through the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society..
