Applications are invited for engagement of forty-four (44) Technical Associates on a purely contractual basis for FSI Cell to be set up in various State/UTs Forest Departments in all over the country initially for a period of one year subject to further extension if required. Qualification & Eligibility Criteria for Technical Associates: 

Post Graduate in any Science subject/M.A. Geography/MCA, M.Sc. in IT/CS and B.Tech. in IT/Computer Science from a recognized university and Working knowledge of DIP/GIS.

A candidate other than Post Graduate in Remote Sensing and GIS having ten months PG Diploma course in RS/GIS from a recognized Institution.

At least six months experience in DIP/GIS-related work in Forestry and other allied areas.

Experience in Very High-Resolution Data processing/ Object Orientated classification / Object-Based Image Analysis/ SAR/Microwave data processing.

Note- Experience should have been obtained after possessing essential educational the qualification.

To Apply for Forest Survey of India Technical Associates Job Vacancy The Candidate must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online application form as their own, as all information/communication will be sent through email on the registered email address or SMS on registered mobile number only. The last date for online submission of the application is 19th March 2021. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate for a State/UT. If it is found at a later stage that a candidate has submitted more than one application form for one or more State/UT his candidature shall be summarily rejected.

Selection Process for Technical Associates Job Vacancy:

Candidates may have to make suitable arrangement for stay on their own as the walk-in test may take more than one day.

Candidates called for walk-in test are required to bring their mark sheets and experience certificates in original.

They should also bring a filled up form on prescribed format (pdf can be downloaded from the FSI website www.fsi.nic.in) while appearing for the walk-in test.

The final selection would be based on combined performance in the written test and Hands-on test.

In case of any dispute in the process, the decision of the Director General, FSI will be final. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for the walk-in test. 

Candidates who fulfill the essential/desirable qualification and experience should submit on-line application form available on FSI's website www.fsi.nic.in.  

After screening of the on-line application forms, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted and called for walk-in test comprising written test & hands on test at the regional offices of FSI at Shimla, Nagpur, Kolkata & Bangalore and at FSI, Headquarter Dehradun, as per the details given in Annexure-II.

The walk-in test schedule (date & time) will be informed through email and SMS.

Short-listing will be done on the basis of fulfilling of prescribed qualifications, experience and age limit criteria.

The final selection of the candidates will be done based on the walk-in test which will comprise two parts

(a) Written (multiple —choice/Short answer type)

(b) Hands-on test on the use of Remote Sensing and GIS software (only those candidates who qualify written test will be asked to appear in Hands-on test).
