Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria for National Library Kolkata Job Openings:

To be qualified for the post of LIS Interns interested and eligible candidates must have the following eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must have obtained a master's degree in Library & Information Science or its equivalent on or before 16th June 2021.
• Concerned language must have been studied at intermediate (10+2)/ graduation level as one subject.

Selection Procedure for National Library Kolkata Job Openings:

The selection procedure of the candidates will be based on the performance during the interview.

1. All applications would be scrutinized and short-listed basing on merit [highest percentage at Master of Library & Information Science, BLISC, Graduation, 12th Standard and 10th Standard] by a Screening / Selection Committee.
2. Application should be submitted through Online along with supporting documents.
3. Only short listed candidates need to submit self attested copies of all certificates (DOB, Education qualification etc.).
4. All candidates must provide e-mail and mobile number. All intimation would be given through e-mail only to the candidates.
5. Regular updates of all information regarding recruitment of LIS Interns would be available in NL website.
6. The short-listed candidates would be called for Interview on 1:10 basis [top 10 candidates basing on percentage] or any other criteria decided by the Competent Authority. Second Class to and fro Railway / Bus (Govt.) fare would be reimbursed from their place of residence or actual journey undertaken whichever is lower for attending Online Examination and Interview.
7. No TA/DA would be provided for joining as LIS Interns in NL.
8. Every LIS Intern should submit Medical Certificate from Govt. Hospitals before joining.
