The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow/ Project Associate-I under a sponsored research project in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. This position is part of a time-bound research project funded by the IIT Bhilai Innovation and Technology Foundation (IBITF), titled “AI-assisted End-to-End Fintech Assistance Solutions for Farming Systems for Oil Seeds (Mustard, Sunflower, etc.) Cultivation in Mizoram.”
The project aims to develop innovative AI-driven fintech solutions tailored to support the farming ecosystem of oil seed crops in Mizoram, enhancing productivity and financial inclusion for farmers. The research will involve the development and integration of AI models, IoT-based data acquisition, and digital platforms to support end-to-end cultivation, financial planning, and market connectivity.
The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency and NIT Mizoram. Candidates with a strong background in electronics, communication engineering, AI, machine learning, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
