The Soil & Water Conservation Department, Meghalaya originated as the Jhum Control Wing under the Forest Department in the erstwhile composite State of Assam. It was subsequently created as an independent Department during 1959-60.

As a major Department of the State, the Department has been striving towards the conservation of the three most vital natural resources - soil, water and vegetation by implementing various conservation measures under various schemes and projects funded by different agencies.

Meghalaya State Watershed & Wasteland Development Agency (MSWWDA) is inviting candidates for the post of Manager, Field Engineer. Interested candidates can check out the relevant details given below:

1. Post Name:- Technical Expert

No of post:- 1 (One)

Salary:- Rs. 15,000/- per month.

Educational Qualification:- Post Graduate/ M.Tech/ M.E in Civil Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Social Work.

Experience:- Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in project implementation/ management of rural, development works/projects.

2. Post Name:- Account Assistant

No of post:- 1 (One)

Salary:- Rs. 30,000/- per month.

Educational Qualification:- Graduate or Post Graduate in Commerce, Accountancy or BBA or MBA in Financial Management, Accounting & Finance.

Skill:- Good Written & verbal communication skills. Computer literacy with general MS package, spreadsheet & data analysis.

Experience:- Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in maintaining accounts, taxation, and financial management with good knowledge in charts of accounts or accounting procedures. Preferably with computerized accountancy or tally latest version.

3. Post Name:- Data Entry Operator

No of post:- 1 (One)

Salary:- Rs. 15,000/- per month.

Educational Qualification:- Graduate in any discipline with Certificate Course in Computer.

Desirable: Statistical Software Typing skills.

Experience:- 6 months to 1 year.

Age limit

Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years of age with 5 (five) years of additional age relaxation in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories.
