Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Public Health/ Management with 5 years experience in the development sector with a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in HIV/AIDS preferably in a supervisory capacity. The candidate should have a sound understanding of issues related to high-risk group Populations and have experience in designing and implementing Targeted intervention strategies for high-risk populations population such as Female Sex Workers, Transgender, Injected Drug Users, Migrants, Truckers, and prisoners.
Desirable:- PG Diploma in HIV/AIDS or Fellowship in HIV/AIDS from any Govt. recognized institution.

Phase I of the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) in Meghalaya was taken up during the last quarter of 1993-94. Actual implementation of the Programme could begin only in March 1994. Earlier the Programme was implemented through a State AIDS Cell but due to various constraints in implementing the programme, a Society was constituted and registered on the 20th of August 1998. As such from the 1st of April 1999 the Phase II of the Programme (1999 – 2005) and Phase-III is being implemented through the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society..
