National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB sponsored project entitled “Development of a Vibration Isolation System using Boreholes Filled with
Geosynthetic Encased Sand Rubber Mixture” in the Department of Civil Engineering. The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found. Qualification for Junior Research Fellow Job Vacancy at NIT Silchar Recruitment 2024

Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering/ relevant disciple or Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (Minimum 8 CPI/CGPA) with excellent academic records from reputed recognized Institutes/Universities.

Qualification of GATE/ NET/National level examination by central government department/ agencies/ institute is mandatory.

Desirable Experience :

Research/project experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering or Earthquake engineering.

Experience in field testing/geophysical testing, knowledge of use of FEM based software.
