The Ministry of Labour & Employment is one of the oldest and most important Ministries of the Government of India. This is an India's federal ministry which is responsible to protect and safeguard the interest of workers in general and their social security. The Ministry aims to create a healthy work environment for higher production and productivity and to develop and coordinate vocational skill training and employment.[2] However, Skill Development responsibilities, such as Industrial Training and Apprenticeship responsibilities were transferred to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship from 9 November 2014. Qualification

The qualification, eligibility, salary, and other terms and conditions for the appointment of a candidate will be governed by the provisions of the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021 & Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.

How to Apply for Presiding Officer Vacancies

(i) bio-data in the prescribed proforma

(ii) Certificate to be furnished by the employer/ head of office/ forwarding authority

iii) clear photocopies of the up-to-date CR/APAR dossier of the officer containing CRs/APARs of at least the last five years duly attested by a Group A officer

(iv) cadre clearance

(v) integrity certificate/clearance from vigilance and disciplinary angle

(vi) statement giving details of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years, to the following address. so as to reach this office latest by 5.30 P.M. on 14.03.2022

Ministry of Labour and Employment Presiding Officer Vacancy 2022 Selection Procedure

1. Procedure for selection: -The Search-cum-Section Committee constituted under the Tribunal Reforms Act 2021, for recommending names for the post of Presiding Officer, shall scrutinize the applications with respect to the suitability of applicants for the said posts by giving due weightage to qualification and experience of candidates and shortlist candidates for conducting personal interaction.

2. The final selection will be done on the basis of the overall evaluation of candidates done by the Committee based on qualification, experience, and personal interaction.
