The Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) is a premier state-funded medical college and hospital located in Porompat, Imphal East, Manipur. It was established in 1989 as Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital, commonly referred to as JN Hospital. It has 21 departments, with the addition of a separate Dental College in 2017. The College has already started a PG course in 7 different pre and Para-clinical departments. We have also applied for opening PG Course in 6 different para-clinical and clinical departments for which permission is being awaited. The institution has also applied for openings BDS course for which inspection is expected to take place very soon. The first-ever journal of JNIMS Academic Society ASJ is being released on 18th December 2016. The new administrative and faculty block has been inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Manipur on 30th November 2016.
