Qualification for Principal Vacancy at Madhya Kamrup College Recruitment 2025

1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever
   grading system is followed) by a recognized University.

2. A Ph. D. Degree.

3. Professor/Associate Professor with a total service/experience of at least 15 (fifteen) years of
   Teaching/Research/Administration in Universities/ Colleges and other institutions of higher
   Education.

4. A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals.

5. A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix-II, table 2 (UGC Guideline, 2018)

6. A relaxation of 5% shall be provided at the Bachelor’s as well as at the Master’s level for the
   candidates belonging to schedule caste/Schedule Tribe/ Differently Able (Physically and
   Visually Differently Able) for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record
   during direct recruitment. The eligibility marks is 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point
   scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories
   mentioned above only or the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedure.

7. A relaxation of 5% may be provided (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph. D. Degree
   holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991

About Madhya Kamrup College

Madhya Kamrup College is one of the premier institutions of higher education for boys and girls in one of the traditionally enlightened districts of Assam. It was established on the 9th August, 1971 at Subha which is now a model village mostly inhabited by tribal people and located in the Chenga-Bahari area at the east-end of Barpeta district (formerly undivided Kamrup district of Assam).The college was sanctioned Ad-hoc grant vide DHE letter No-G(A)RC.12/77/pt/209-25 Dated-Kahilipara, the 2nd Dec/77 and took over under deficit system of Grants-in-Aid w.e.f. 1979 vide DHE letter no-G(A)RC/79/69 Dated-Kahilipara, the 3rd June/80. The college came under UGC 2(f) and 12(B) in March 2009 and accredited by NAAC Second Cycle in 2016, secured B grade. The area as it is surrounded by the adjoining char areas of Brahmaputra River has a very ideal location.
